On Saturday February 14, 2015 Team Up For Honduras held their first annual Valentines Day Dinner Dance fundraising event. Although at times throughout the day we questioned whether to cancel due to severe winter weather, we decided to go ahead as planned. Of the 62 that bought tickets 44 braved the weather and attended. We were served a delicious meal prepared by Phebe Wesman. Following the meal we viewed a short video presentation of Team Up's last service trip to Honduras. John Leedy gave a brief summary about the ministry and goals of Team Up For Honduras. Then it was time to dance. Stevie Bliss of Blisss Dance LLC was unable to come from Columbus to do the instructing due to the whiteout conditions outside. Florence Ramer stepped in to teach several line dances. There was much laughter and fun on the dance floor for the rest of the evening. We are thankful for the volunteers that helped make the night a success. We were grateful to the people that came out to show their support for the ministry of Team Up For Honduras. We received many positive affirmations on the evening and encouragement to do this again. So mark it on your calendar and plan to attend next Valentines Dinner Dance. For those of you that ride motorcycle or just like a drive in the country, come out to our fourth annual Motorcycle/Drive on June 14. Save the date now and watch for more details of that event.
